Youth Gardeners Receives National Award
Loveland Youth Gardeners was selected from more
than 1300 kids' gardening programs nationwide to receive a 2006 Youth Garden
Grant from the National Gardening Association, based in South Burlington,
Vermont.
"National Gardening Association is proud to support
this terrific kids' garden", says Michael Metallo, President. "This program was
selected because of a demonstrated commitment to actively and creatively
engaging youth in the gardening process and to improving the community. We were
able to see from their application that the garden program will be sustained for
years to come."

Larimer County Fair
Since 2000, the Youth Gardening Program of Loveland Youth Gardeners has entered vegetables, flowers, and herbs at the Larimer County Fair. We have been honored to receive first, second, and third place ribbons!
Number of ribbons won:
- 2008: 5 ribbons, plus Outstanding Youth Exhibit Grand Champion, Flowers
- 2007: 9 ribbons, plus Outstanding Youth Exhibit Grand Champion
- 2006: 6
- 2005: 9
- 2004: 10 and Grand Reserve Champion

Friends of the Garden Club
In 2003, the Loveland Garden Club honored Loveland Youth Gardeners as a
"Friend of the Garden Club" for our assistance with the "Children's
Garden" at the Benson Sculpture Park over the last few years.
